Marcus J Twyman, Treasurer

Marcus J Twyman is a real estate broker in the State of Michigan and the State of Georgia. 

Marcus has been involved in Metro-Detroit residential and commercial real estate since 2005 and Metro Atlanta real estate since 2013. Marcus earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Oakland University in Business Finance with concentration in Management. He has plans to complete his studies to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education.

As a child, Marcus had the privilege of having a stable home and nurturing environment, however he had family and friends who were less lucky. Witnessing the effects of displacement on their lives inspired Marcus to go into real estate to help promote stable housing in communities.

Now, Marcus leads first-time homebuyer programs, home buyer seminars, and homeownership counseling programs within the community. His work to help home buyers is multi-dimensional; Marcus works with nonprofits such as Central Detroit Christian, Focus HOPE, Wayne Metro, United Community Housing Coalition, and Neighborhood Legal Services while also working with the Detroit Land Bank Authority, HUD, Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, and Michigan State Housing and Development Authority. Working with nonprofits and lending entities allows Marcus to help homeowners purchase homes as well as save homes.

Marcus also enjoys volunteering with Bridging Gaps, Gleaners Food Bank, the United State Postal Service Food Drive, and the Judson Agency. Marcus knows helping others improves the community for everyone, and that one act of kindness can have lasting effects. He looks forward to using his unique skillset to create these lasting effects in our community.
